M.K. Kelley Smith has had a lifelong interest in horses and has been giving lessons for many years. She has two adult children and has an academic background in Teaching and Social Work.

A BRIEF HISTORY

J & K Ranch Kennel was established in 1983 to accommodate our growing interests in the breeding, training and promotion of Tennessee Walking Horses and German Shorthaired Pointers.

In past years we bred, trained and promoted the naturally gaited, flat-shod Tennessee Walking Horse. Our horses were working horses and show horses. We also bred, trained and campaigned German Shorthaired Pointers. Our goal was to produce the national caliber, dual-quality, (field and show), dog that was successful in the field and in the home.

The services I offer are a combination of my academic background in Social Work and my lifelong passion for horses. I was blessed with career opportunities and professional associations that enabled me combine my background in Social Work with my passion for horses.
